I've seen the the issue countlessly addressed on American television. Shows like the Boondocks laying into how B.E.T portrays African Americans (down here we just say black), and for that reason i never cared much for the channel. However one thing i do enjoy on the channel is their Hip Hop Awards, but it's not for the accolades handed out, nor the live performances. No son, i wait in eager anticipation for the Cyphers, sometimes just throwing together a random mixture of veteran, successful, underground and unkown rappers, or sometimes just has heavyweights spitting, one after the other.( you're gonna want to click that link if you did not witness) It all harks back to the purity of the movement, and fuck it, I go soft for stuff like that.
