T.I sentenced to 11 months

Looks like it they was speakin the truth, when they told me nice guys finish last, despite saving randoms from suicidal plunges. Clifford Harris has been sentenced to 11 months in jail, for violating his pobation  (possessing ecstasy x testing positive for opiates x associating with a convicted felon). An appeal is in the works, but I don’t see Tip getting out of this one.

“I screwed up,” said the rapper, wearing a three-piece grey suit. “I screwed up bigtime, and I’m sorry. I’m truly and sincerely sorry. I don’t want and I don’t need to use drugs anymore. I want them out of my life.”
But U.S. District Court Judge Charles Pannell Jr. was unmoved. Pannell noted that he had tried an extraordinary sentence with Harris, who was initially convicted of weaspons charges, by permitting him to stay out of prison while performing 1,000 hours of community service. The service consisted largely of visits with schoolchildren to speak out against violence, gangs and drugs.
“I think Mr. Harris had had about the limit of second chances,” Pannell said. “The worst thing is this case was an experiment.”
