Sweltering heat couldn't stop the masses from coming out to mark the 21st anniversary of Jhb's pride parade. That's right ladies and gentlemen, the gay pride parade has been on since 1990. A colourful affair as was to be expected and quite a huge turnout, the event starts with a march from Zoo Lake through Rosebank, and then ends off at Zoo Lake. Where the participants and revellers are treated to open stalls and live performances, giving the whole event a festival atmosphere. Fishfinger was late in gettting there and caught the proceedings at Rosebank and marched down to Zoo lake and proceeded to get sloshed at the marquee tents.Gay people were just out there to have fun, and that they did do. Glad to say the event went off without incident. In the dictionary the word gay used to just mean happy, and that's all that the people at Zoo Lake were.more pics after the jump...
