Idiot stops to investigate speed camera
People do the funniest things when it's the weekend, an idiot turned his car back to investigate a bright light which flashed him on the highway and upon his return he found two officers waiting with handcuffs to take him in.
A 25-year-old motorist was arrested while examining a speed camera that caught him driving over the legal limit on the N1 freeway in Midrand in the early hours of Sunday morning, Johannesburg metro police said.
The driver of a silver Ford Fiesta seemed surprised when he was trapped by the speed camera while driving at 163km/h on the freeway and turned back to investigate where the flash came from, Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.
The man found that the camera had been set up by metro police officers who were at the spot.
The officers arrested him immediately for speeding.
The incident happened after another 37-year-old man was arrested earlier for driving his BMW at 214km/h along the same route.
The man told the officers that he was from a party in Johannesburg and was rushing home because his wife wanted to know why he was out in the early hours of the morning.
Which person in their right mind turns they're car around to investigate where or what that flashing light came from, it could only be a speed camera you idiot!
