Social Network Review
So, Facebook gets it's movie. A bit premature I thought, what with Facebook only, being 6 years old. I went into this witha little trepidation. David Fincher, helms this movie and i've always love his technical style, of stoytelling. The movie runs just over 2 hours but you hardly feel it you're so captivated by the unravelling story.
Fincher's style fits this story like a glove, and times the pacing of it extremely well. The spellbinding story, has a strong script written by Aaron Sorkin. Sharp witty dialogue between the cast, make for some brilliant quoteables, and a brilliant story.
The story of Mark Zuckerberg and his Facebook, are layed out well, but beneath it all this movie is more about what we percieve as good or bad. As Zuckerberg navigates his way through the legal woes that facebook brought with it. Jesse Eisenberg, plays the smart, overly analytical, cold and socially inept Zuckerburg well. Armie Hammer steals it with his performance as the Winklevoss twins, and a solid performance from Andrew Garfield (the new spider man). Trent Reznors score adds great depth to the scenes. Without Fuckin the story up for you, i say watch this one. It's worth your time, even if you're not on Facebook. The movie ends rather abruptly, not because of glaring oversight, but because the story of Facebook is still in motion. Such are the dangers of making a movie while we are still living it. I think people will look back and see this movie as a real gem.
