The first thing we noticed was a thoroughbred and she shook me to the core, when we we entered the venue, apart from the Moulin Rouge theme which was carried right across from the hostesses to the performances, the theme worked perfectly with the venue.

After an hour the performances began with the lovely Relo performing her latest hit taken from DJ Kent’s I can’t survive called Gift of life, after Relo, came the very lack lustre Kelly Khumao who performed her old ass hit titled Qinisela ,but I must say she still puts it down but damn I think old girl needs a vacation, with all the shit with Jub Jub and his case and the baby I’m pretty sure its bound to take its toll on you.

Since it was a Diva’s party, the three diva’s got on stage to perform a rendition of Aretha Franklin and needless to say they did a pretty good job in terms of the overall performance but I have a couple of qualms where the backing track is concerned. The first problem is that the vocals of Cristina Aguilera, Pink and Missy Elliot, were still included in the backing track, naturally I’ve always thought that a backing track should include the backing vocals without the lead vocals but hey I guess in other places miming is cool.
The party heated up once the Hip Hop started playing and you know I’m not really into Hip Hip at clubs cause I tend to find the playlist very monotonous all across the board, if no one has noticed there is a staple diet of certain tracks which will always feature in some DJ’s playlists, but enough with the bitching.
Overall we had a good time and to think that we wanted to be out of there by 23:00, we ended up staying till well over midnight . Word on the streets is that there will be a couple more parties like this one so make sure you keep checking fishfinger to stay updated about up coming parties.
