PSL Bans Dagga at games

"Homie I got a new Vuvuzela!"

I've never been to a PSL match due to obvious reasons such as the standard of soccer being played at these matches, what I do know though is that a lot of weed is readily available at the games and not only is it available but it 's also consumed in vast amounts.

The PSL intends on doing something about this by banning weed and cigarettes at soccer games...

Security guards with binoculars will be deployed inside the stadium for the Soweto derby.

"I see you"

PSL and Stadium Management South Africa have warned the more than 80,000 people expected to invade Soccer City on Saturday and that the smoking of dagga will not be tolerated.

The league and SMSA have declared war on dagga and cigarette smokers after complaints from many supporters who are unwilling to bring their families to the matches because of secondhand smoke.

Hot Box that Mafaka!
A total of 1,650 private security personnel will be deployed inside Soccer City to ensure that the Telkom Knockout final will be a resounding success.

Private security guards will complement police officers for this derby featuring Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.

SMSA's CEO Jacques Grobbelaar said: "Security guards with binoculars will be deployed inside the stadium to mingle with the fans. We also want to plead with smokers not to bring along cigarettes and dagga. Our facilities must be a safe and secure environment for our supporters, including the young ones.

No more smoking for all y'all

"The security and law enforcement agencies will punish people who misbehave. Stadiums are public areas, smoking is banned.

If the PSL has had problems controlling crowds over the years from breaking chairs and throwing missiles to the field how in their right mind are they going to control folk from smoking weed or cigarettes in the stadiums, people will smoke pot in the smoking areas and not in the stands any longer, so ask yourself whether you've curbed the problem of people smoking weed at the stadiums and you'll realize that you must be the high one!

Secondly, the reason people don't want to bring their family members to these games is cause the PSL sucks and the soccer is not even worth taking your family anywhere near a stadium but rather far away from the television set when PSL matches play!
