No more Sushi Parties for King Kenny

Aah man! Seems as though the pressure finally got Kenny Kunene after numerous reports that the ANC is distancing itself from his sushi shenanigans and he's come out saying "No more Sushi parties".

Club ZAR's flamboyant "sushi king" Kenny Kunene says he will no longer eat off women's bodies at his parties.

Issuing a statement, he said: "We have been inundated with requests from people wanting me to respond to ANC Secretary General Gwede Mantashe's condemnation of sushi parties. It was never my intention to associate the eating of sushi off models with the ANC, and I accept the ANC's condemnation of the practice and understand the reasons.

"Therefore, I will not be throwing or attending any further such sushi parties as I have nothing but respect for the leadership of the ANC and the guiding principles of the Movement. Were it not for the work and struggle of these ANC leaders, my leaders, the money that black businesspeople have made since 1994 would not have been possible, and this also applies to me."

Commenting on ANC youth league leader Julius Malema's weekend statement that "this club belongs to the ANC", in opposition to the proposed Western Cape's liquor law which states that clubs must stop serving booze at 2am, the clubowner commented:

"Julius Malema has been a tireless supporter of black businesspeople, especially those wanting to go into businesses where black people historically don't have a presence.

"He has encouraged us to continue our work even when we wanted to give up. I must, however, emphasise that ZAR has always intended to respect the liquor laws of the Western Cape, just as it does in Gauteng. Furthermore, ZAR is a private entity with no direct political affiliations.

"Julius can blow me!"

"It welcomes people from all races and political persuasions to come and enjoy a good time defined by style, glamour and the best things in life. We encourage anyone to do as Mr Malema has done and treat ZAR as their own."

What a bummer! Peeps like me were planning on spending their hard earned money on these Sushi models and having some fine dining at Zar, guess we'll have to find a private booth to enjoy such delicacies.
